I have to be honest, I am always looking for ANY and EVERY reason to pop a bottle of bubbles in my house - so much so, that I started a company dedicated to champagne! I have always been an advocate of encouraging friends and family to take time to slow down and enjoy the moment, whatever it may be. But for those who need a little more convincing, here are my top 5 reasons why you should be popping a bottle every week too!
1. We Need to Celebrate More Often
It's no secret that the sound of a champagne bottle popping brings an instant smile to most people's faces. Similarly, I am a firm believer that a glass of bubbles has the ability to elevate the most mundane moments into a worthy occasion.
I know I am not the first to tell you that life is short, so I won't, but when we pause to celebrate and enjoy even the smallest moments, somehow time seems to slow down just a bit. Good to taste and good for the soul.
2. Champagne Pairs Great with Everything
Because sparkling wines are typically blended wines (or cuvées) they have the unique ability to pair with a wide range of foods. Bubbles are the perfect complement to fruity, savory, sweet, meaty, nutty, and salty foods. They go well with hard-to-pair foods like Asian cuisine, spicy foods, and desserts. Similarly, the acidity of sparkling wine is the perfect counterpart to cut through rich and fatty dishes.

3. Lower Sugar, Alcohol, and Calories Than Still Wine
If you’re looking for a little more balance in your diet, then bubbly is your best bet. A regular glass (5 ounces) of dry bubbly contains around 100 calories, in comparison to red and white wines which generally contain between 120-125 calories. Brut, X-Brut, and Brut Nature champagne or sparkling wines (which are what we curate with low dosage) are one of the lowest-calorie libations you can choose.
Now keep in mind, sweeter style bubbles, such as Prosecco, are excluded in this because of their higher sugar content.
In addition, our bubbles contain a lower percentage of alcohol (ranging between 10-12%) in comparison to red and white wines (ranging between 13-15%).
Again, this just adds to one of the reasons I think a glass of bubbles helps bring a little balance. Shop our bottles HERE.
4. Champagne is Good For Your Health
Yep, you heard it correctly...there are numerous health benefits linked to drinking a glass (or two) of champagne a day! Not that we needed more reasons to pop a bottle, but all these health benefits are too good not to share!
Many people know a bit about how wine has health benefits, such as it lowers the risk of heart disease, strokes, and type 2 diabetes- but bubbles offer even more bang for the bottle!
It turns out all those tiny bubbles in the bottle do make a difference. Because Champagnes and Sparkling Wines (made in the traditional method) go through a secondary fermentation, there are numerous other perks that are attributed to this fact.

5. You Can Save an Open Bottle of Bubbles For Up To 5 Days
Did you know you can actually keep a bottle of Champagne or Sparkling Wine fresh and fizzy for up to FIVE days? The misconception that you have to finish the bottle in one sitting or it will lose its fizz is one of the main reasons why people hesitate to open sparkling wine. So don't let that hold you back!
