Producer Info: Though the Laval family's roots in the Champagne region date back to
1870, it wasn't for another hundred years that the family discovered the true potential of their land's soil. After this discovery was made, they knew they were destined to create their own Champagne label and in 1979 Michel Laval was born. In the early years of the winery, it was common practice throughout Champagne for farmers to use herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals in the vineyards. However, even then, Michel Laval set themself apart by pioneering more natural and sustainable farming methods. Today, current owner and winemaker Florian Laval emphasizes the importance of organic and biodynamic farming, as well as ultimate care for the land and its sustainability for the future generations to come. We had the pleasure of visiting them on our recent Club Member Trip to Champagne this past June and their hospitality is second to none! This is truly a special bottle and I am honored to be the importer and thrilled to bring a glimpse of the incredible Laval Family to you.
