Tasting Notes: An elegant wine with great finesse. It is the quintessential champagne with notes of red fruit, citrus, apricot, biscotti, and brioche, followed by a round finish.

Pairing: This well-balanced brut would be delicious with cheese spreads, pastas, and rich meals with roasted meats.

Producer Info: The family-run champagne house of D. Massin has worked for
generations to create fine champagnes, pure, elegant and gourmet that respect the terroir and the environment. Current generation Rachel Massin, and her grown children Céline and Tristan, together work the vineyards and winery by remaining faithful to the
authenticity of the art of champagne. The family has been farming grapes for five
generations and the first bottling of D. Massin Champagne was released 50 years ago in
1972 and they have been perfecting the process each year since. Their 12 hectares of
vines are spread over Jurassic hillsides set on Kimmerigian and limestone soils. All the
farming is carried out by organic and sustainable methods. Not only does the Massin
family make excellent champagnes, but their hospitality and welcoming nature make for
the perfect winery. I was lucky enough to taste with them and tour their property and I am truly so fortunate to represent this producer as one of my exclusive imports.
